Re.: The Chinese Century

Dear Sir:

It's the brain-drain to China that Western businesses must be wary of. In order to manufacture there, the Chinese generally demand getting all the know-how as well. Because capitalist businesses are becoming increasingly focused on earning quarterly profits by low-cost production, they loose sight of the greater long-term value of their intellectual resources and will loose their markets in the end. The Chinese have a reputation for enduring in the long run, i.e. the "Long March".
