Public dance for my 50th birthday party September 26th
Most easy dance conceivable. It actually matches Beatrix Potter's Tale of Benjamin Bunny.
|1-2||First couple sets on side.|
|3-4||First couple turns once around with right hands.|
|5-8||First couple down the centre.|
|9-10||First couple sets on side.|
|11-12||First couple turns once again around with right hands.|
|13-16||First couple up the centre to second place; second couple stepping up.|
|17-24||First and second couples circle to the left and back.|
|First couple in second position ready to dance the dance again (three times through).
|1-2||All set to each other.|
|3-4||Turn once around with right hands.|
|5-8||Dance "down the centre", i.e. to ladies' left /gentlemen's right.
(Don't bump into other couples.)
|9-10||All set to each other.|
|11-12||Turn once around again with right hands|
|13-16||Dance "up the centre", i.e. to ladies' right /gentlemen's left, to find and join up with a second couple.
(Gender positions are of no matter.)
|17-24||Couples circle to the left and back.|
|Repeat, finding a new second couple each time (over and over again as long as the music plays).
